Summary

Every now and then I need to deliver a value. Something like this: $myText:=$myOtherText. Sometimes those datatypes might be different like this: $myText:=$myDate. Not really a problem, make that date a string. Probably test first, if a pointer is not Nil and which kind of datatype the object is besides following my naming convention. Therefor I wrote a functional method, releasing the burden of checking again and again. Now I call DBZ_GenWertZuweisen („Return“;$P_returnValue_T;->$myDate_D) and don’t care much about.

Hin und wieder muß ich einen Wert ausliefern. Das sieht dann so aus: $myText:=$myOtherText. Manches mal sind die Datentypen nicht identisch: $myText:=$myDate, was auch kein Problem ist. Dann mache ich aus dem Datum einen String und liefere diesen aus. Mühsam ist die stets notwendige Kontrolle. Passen die Datentypen auch wenn meine Nomenklatur es vermuten läßt zueinander, ist das Ziel ein Pointer und ist dieser nicht Nil. Ich habe mir deshalb eine Funktions-Methode geschrieben, die mir die Mühen abnimmt und die ich so verwende DBZ_GenWertZuweisen („Return“;$P_returnValue_T;->$myDate_D).

A functional method is a method which is actually a function, but more powerful. In this case more powerful means, the type of return value is not fixed and this function converts value types as good as possible.
